Samoan Dynasty Part 2 Wild Samoans

The Wild Samoans are made up of Afa and Sika Anoai. They were one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history! In their career they racked up 22 titles reigns! They are the only tag team that was able to do that! Captain Lou Albano managed them when they were with the WWF.

It all started for this great tag team when Afa started taking wrestling lessons from the late “High Chief” Peter Miavia and Rocky Johnson. Afa went with a friend Ricky Thompson to Arizona. Ricky was going to try out for a wrestling promotion. Afa got hired because of his awesome appearance!

No long after Afa started wrestling he sent for his brother Sika. Afa trained Sika and they formed the Wild Samoans! They’re look was that of an island savage! They were one of the most tag teams brutal tag teams of the 80’s. But this is the be expected with Captain Lou Albano as there manager.

After the Wild Samoans retired Afa went on to manage the tag team the “Headshrinkers” in the 90’s. They were his son Samu and his nephew Fatu (Rakishi). Afa also started The Wild Samoans Training Center. He has trained some of the wrestlers that have been on WWF’S wrestling roster. Such as Billy Kidman and Chris Canyon. Afa is also director of Uso’s the Samoan Family Foundation.

Both Afa and Sika do a lot of charity work. They are both also members of the Cauliflower Alley Club! Sika now enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.

Mark Mero

Marc Mero was born in Buffalo, NY in 1960. Marc was originally a boxer and was a golden gloves winner.

He had met "The American Dream" Dusty Rhoades in the gym. Soon after Dusty encouraged Marc to try wrestling. Marc signed with WCW and Johnny B. Badd was born.

He would come out with his bad blaster and shoot confetti in to the crowd! This was Marc's best gimmick. He was a very popular star in WCW. He won the WCW-TV title twice.

Marc's finishing move is called the TKO. He also was normally in the opening matches for WCW pay per views.

In 1996 he would sign with WWF after he left WCW. He would become "Wild Man Marc Mero". He would also come to the ring with his then wife Sable (Rena Mero). He would become the Intercontinental Champion.

Around mid 1997 Marc would change his name again and become "Marvelous Marc Mero". Marc would keep this gimmick until he left wrestling in 1999. Since he has left wrestling Rena and him have gotten divorced.

He will be wrestling a tag team match tonight for TNA. He will wrestle as Johnny B. Badd. I hope this wont be the last time we see him in the wrestling ring.

I got this from this morning and I wanted to pass this on! I hope they both have a quick recovery!

9/26/2004 5:52:31 PM

TNA wrestlers Andy Douglas and Johnny Devine were involved in an incident in Nashville early Sunday morning that sent both to a local hospital.

Douglas and Devine had just left a local nightclub and got involved in an altercation with several men, one of whom was armed with a knife. During the fight both Douglas and Devine were stabbed. Douglas was stabbed in the upper leg, and Devine was stabbed in the stomach.

Douglas was stitched and released and his wound is not considered serious. Devine underwent several hours of surgery this morning and is expected to remain in the hospital for the next few days. The surgery, to repair internal injuries, was successful and Devine is expected to be able to return to action after a 4-6 week recovery period.

At the present time, the identity of the other people involved is not known. They fled the scene of the incident, and local police officials are investigating. wishes a speedy recovery to both Andy Douglas and Johnny Devine.

Josie hasn’t been in wrestling for very long, only about 2 years. She knew so wanted to wrestler from the moment she saw Lita doing a move off the top rope in 2001.

She started looking in to wrestling schools to see where she wanted to go for her training. A friend of hers passed on her phone number to Eddie Sharkey. He was looking for some female talent to train. After she checked out one of his shows she was ready to sign up.

After she started training she knew for sure this was for her!!

If you were to ask Josie what her wrestling style is she would tell you that she is a power wrestler! Her favorite type of match is she would tell you it’s a mixed tag team match!

Her finisher moves are one of two they are a flying neckbreaker or a corner to corner round off back elbow bulldog.

Even though Josie hasn’t been wrestling long she has already started to make a name for herself! She has won 2 titles. They are MIW Women’s Champion and CTCWA Woman’s Champion.

Josie has a lot of ambition! She hopes to wrestle for Japan, NWA-TNA,WWE. I’m sure this isn’t the last you will hear about Josie. I really think she is going to go far!

Rouge Interview

1. What made you want to go into wrestling?

I just sorta fell into it. I kept seeing Chris Jericho whining and crying all the time, I just wanted to get into a wrestling ring and shut him up. Once there I realized what he was doing and fell in love with the world of wrestling.

2. Did you have support from your friends and family when you decided to go into wrestling?

I used to play in alot of rock bands so moving into pro wrestling wasn’t really that shocking to most of my friends or family, now they think I am really crazy.

3. Were you a wrestling fan growing up?

Not really, I was more into playing guitar and listening to KISS

4. Who is your favorite wrestler?

That one is a toss up. Its a running tie with Y2J and Shane O Mac

5. Who trained you and what wrestling school did you attend?

Bruce Wren and Alex Porteu at the SECW School of Wrestling

6. What wrestling leagues have you wrestled for?

7. Have you held any titles? If so which ones?

SECW Cruiserweight Champion

MFW Hardcore Champion

MFW Cruiserweight Champion

NWA Jr Heavyweight Champion

NWA Mid-Florida Champion (Current)

3 Time SGWA Cruiserweight Champion

8. How long have you been wrestling?

For about 6 years

9. So far who has been your greatest opponent?

By far it has to be Rico Moon. Last time I faced him we both came off the top of a
18 foot ladder and crashed thru a table. I won the match but remember it well.

10. What are your wrestling goals?

At this point I have my sites set on TNA but as long as I can entertain fans and have fun doing it, that is awesome enough for me.

Wrestling Fans Mourn

Yesterday Ray Traylor AKA the Big Bossman passed away! Wrestling fans and wrestlers will be mourning the passing. For those of you that may not know the Big Bossman his wrestling gimmick was a cop uniform with a baton that he would sometimes hit his opponent with! He wrestled in the late 80's for WWF. He also wrestled for WCW and several promotions in Japan. Outside of the squared circle he was a caring, loving family man. Our heart felt sympathies go out to all his family as well as anyone else’s life he has touched.

The Samoan Dynasty part 1 "High Chief" Peter Maivia

Photo is of "High Chief" Peter Maivia and his valet Ata! Who happens to be his daughter.

"High Chief" Peter Maivia was the founding member of the Samoan Dynasty!

His full birth name is Leifi Pita Maivia Fanene. He was born in 1935. He is part of the high chief family of Fanene of Nuulie, Samoa. Peter Maivia was a real high chief.

Peter went to New Zealand to study professional wrestling. After spending some time there wrestling and training he moved to the USA. From the moment he got here he started making a name for himself that people would remember for many years to come! Peter also set a wrestling standard that his family would follow through the generations and I'm sure many more to come!

When Peter got to San Francisco, California. He would be adopted by Afa and Sika (The Wild Samoans) family. Right from the beginning his new family would embrace him and treat him as if he had always been part of the family.

Many people would feel that Peter was really on the top of his game when he was in San Francisco, California. Where he was a perennial champion. One of his tag team partners was Rocky Johnson.

Rocky Johnson would go on to marry Peter's daughter Ata. Peter and his wife Lia did not approve of their relationship so they would run off and marry. They would all later work things out. Rocky and Ata's son is "The Rock" Rocky Johnson.

Peter had an incredible wrestling career. He started professional wrestling in 1967. Peter would go on to wear the gold many times in his career. He had some very memorable feuds with Stan Stasiak, "Superstar" Billy Graham, Bob Buckland, Steve Richard, and Mr. Fuji.

Peter also did some acting during his wrestling career. His most memorable role was in the James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice." So now we know were his grandson The Rock got the acting bug from.

Sadly "High Chief" Peter Maivia Died on June 13, 1982 in Hawaii. After a long battle with cancer. He is a true wrestling legend! He also started a long history of the great Samoan Wrestling Dynasty!

Midget Wrestling

Midget wrestling is just as much a part of wrestling as any other. Midget wrestling has been around for decades.

Midget wrestling is such fun to watch. Not only are they very fast. But they are very prone to biting there opponent on the butt. Which sure gets there attention! Midget wrestlers are very talented as well!

Two of the most memorable midget wrestlers of all time are Little Beaver and Sky Low Low. They are both from Canada. Sky Low Low had one of the best drop kicks of all midget wrestlers. Sadly they have both passed away and will be missed. They both made a big impact on Professional Wrestling!

Weather you were watching a midget vs. midget match or a mixed match you knew you were in for a good time!

One of the most memorial mixed midget matches was in Wrestlemania 3. The biggest Wrestlemania ever. In this match King Kong Bundy slammed Little Beaver very hard. Little Beaver suffered a back injury from the match.

I also just learned that they have midget hardcore matches as well! Those must be something intresting to see. To bad there isn't enought midget matches on TV.

There are also women midget wrestlers such as Diamond Lil!

The sad part of midget wrestling is that people hardly ever take them seriously! Sure there funny to watch but they are very serious about there contrabution to Professional Wrestling! Midget wrestlers are some of the hardest working wrestlers in the sport.

Thing To Come

Wrestling Families are a huge part of pro wrestling history! In the months to come I will be doing a few series on wrestling families. I will be doing articles and interviews of other wrestlers as well. I just think that the stories of families in wrestling is so fascinating!

Like all families there is success and tragedy! There are so many interesting stories of intrigue, mystery, hardships, misery, and death. I'm hoping to be able to do some interviews with a couple members in each family. I feel that will give us all a little bit more insight in to what it's like to be part of their family.

Each series will be numbered and divided in to sections that way any new readers will be able to easily start at the beginning of the series.

Here are some examples of the families I'm going to be working on The Samoan Dynasty, The Harts, and the Von Erich Curse!! Of course there are many families in wrestling that stretch a cross generations and well as gender. I hope to be able to cover them all! I hope you all enjoy reading about these amazing people!!

I'm going to start my family series with The Samoan Dynasty! This entails many great wrestlers. Some you know and others I think will surprise you! It all started with "High Chief" Peter Maivia and The Wild Samoans (Afa and Sika), and will go up to the most recent generation of them including The Rock and The Black Pearl!

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Just a note I want to thank Colin Bowmen of WCW Magazine for the photo!

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper is one of the most recognized wrestlers today. In the 80's he was one of the top stars in WWF. The only wrestler that was a bigger star was Hulk Hogan.

Roddy has had a colorful and controversial wrestling career. In 1980 he was known nation wide in the US because of the promotions he did for Atlanta's WTBS station, he was let go because of his high maintenance behavior. In July 2000 He was fired from WCW because he filed an age discrimination lawsuit. In 2003 WWF fired him because of his negative attitude towards wrestling.

There have also been comments about his "Primadonna" attitude, when he is outside of the square circle. Despite all his behind the scenes problems he is still a fan favorite, maybe even more now than in his earlier years in wrestling.

Roddy's birth name is Roderick Toombs. He grew up in Canada. Not Scotland like many people believe. He does really play the bag pipes though. He started wrestling in Winnipeg, Canada in 1973.

Roddy is not what you would class a technical wrestler he is more of the punching and brawling type. But it wasn't his wrestling style that has made him a star it was his gift of gab. His interviews were such a hit that he got his own section of WWF TV called "Piper's Pit." He had his own segment until he retired in 1987. In 1992 he decided to make a come back.

Despite his wrestling style he still held several titles during his career. Some of them are NWA America's Champion, NWA America's Tag Champion (several times), NWA US Champion, NWA Northwest Tag Champion (4x), NWA Pacific Northeast Tag Champion (2x), Canadian Tag Champion, NWA Mid Atlantic TV Champion (2x), NWA US Champion (2x), NWA Mid Atlantic Champion, WWF Intercontinental Champion, and WCW US Champion.

Ron Zombie

Ron Zombie is an indy wrestler.Ron is from East Haven, Connecticut. He has been wrestling now for about 8 years. He was trained by Killer Kowalski.

Ron's wrestling style is hard core, brawling. But with influences such as Cactus Jack, Bruiser Brody, and Arn Anderson. You would expect this to be his style.

His signature move is called the "Soul Crusher". Which is a spiked DDT.

Some of the promotions he has worked for are Assault Championship Wrestling, Wrestling Star Wars, Crimson Mask Wrestling, Jersey All Pro, and NWA New England.

Ron has also held several titles some of them are Wrestlepalooza Heavyweight Champ, Wrestlepalooza Tag Team Champ with Curtis Slamdawg, Green Mountain Heavyweight Champ, and (4x) Assault Championship Wrestling Hardcore Champion.

"Classy" Freddie Blassie

Freddie had been in professional wrestling for 40 plus years. First as a wrestler than later after a knee injury he became a manager.

No matter what Freddie was doing he was one of the most hated men in wrestling. If there was one word that would describe him it would be "Evil". He was nicknamed "Vampire", because of his sharp teeth he would use to bite his opponents and draw blood. He often claimed that he would sharpen them!

Freddie started wrestling when he was a teenager. After some time his dues were paid and he became an accomplished wrestler. He had some struggles in the beginning of his career but he over came them to reach the top of his career.

In 1954 he won the NWA Southern Heavyweight title. This was just a start of things to come.

Freddie would go on to hold the NWA Southern Heavyweight Title 14 times between 1954-1960. From there he would move on to Los Angeles to join World Wrestling Alliance. Were he would push the boundaries of how hated a wrestler can be.

He would win the WWA World title 4 times between 1961-1964. He also won WWA Tag Team Title (2x), NWA America's Heavyweight Championship (5x), the Georgia Heavyweight Title, and the Beat the Champ TV title. He also held the NWA America's Brass Championship, which he held for 5 years between 1969-1974.

Next he would go on to join the WWWF. Becoming their top heel and adding Captain Lou Albano as his manager. He would have some violent matches like few others.

He and Bruno Sammartino had several classic matches. He would come close to beating Bruno for the WWWF World Championship Title a few times, but never did.

Soon after Freddie started managing some the meanest most hated men in the sport! He would become part of the "Evil Trinity" of managers. The "Evil Trinity" was Captain Lou Albano, Freddie Blassie, and The Grand Wizard.

Freddie mainly managed evil foreign wrestlers such as Peter Maivia, Nicolai Volkoff, and the Iron Sheik. He also managed some of the top American wrestlers as well, such of Jesse "The Body" Ventura and George "The Animal" Steele.

Freddie is also responsible for introducing the young heel Hulk Hogan to the WWF in 1979! In 1994 Freddie was inducted in to the WWF Hall Of Fame! Sadly Freddie Blassie died on June 2,2003.

Desire has dreams of wrestling in Japan and WWE someday. It all started when she was just a little girl. She used to sit with her father and grandfather on the weekends and watch wrestling.

She told her father when she was little that she wanted to be a wrestler when she grew up and he told her that was what she would be then. Sadly her father died in a car accident the year she graduated from high school.

Desire was born on Febrary 9,1980 in Chino, California. Soon out of high school Desire would go into pin up modeling and acting. With hopes that she would meet someone that could point her in the right direction.

She got an acting part in an Indy movie about professional wrestling. While filming this movie she meet a wrestling promoter that had a wrestling school. After that she was ready to start chasing her dream of becoming a professional wrestler.

After two and a half years of school she decided to move on. She started getting Lucha training WPW. She wrestled and trained with them for a year. She is now continuing her training with Revaluation Pro.

Desire's wrestling style can be described as lucha with a bit of brawling. Her favorite type of match is mixed tag team. Her favorite wrestling move is her signature lucha submission hold. She finishes with one of 2 finishers she uses they are Tornado DDT and Casadora Bull Dog.

Desire has wrestled for several wrestling promotions. A few examples are WPW, UPW, AWS, WSWA, WSW, and Lucha Va Voom. She has also held the EWF Tag Team Title!

Desire has a dark style to her ring attire and likes to change it often. That way people don't get bored with her.

Gorgeous George

Gorgeous George was on of the most influential professional wrestlers ever. He didn't just influence wrestlers but boxers and musicians. Such as Mohammed Ali and Liberace. He was one of the original showmen of wrestling as well. He had a very colorful, flamboyant ring appearance.

He was born in Seward, Nebraska in 1915. His birth name was George Wagner. He would go in to wrestling in his teens. He would wrestle for over ten years as George Wagner.

But he never really made an impacted on the sport because of his average skills and appearance. So he decided to come up with a gimmick that would make him memorable even now. He grew his hair out and dyed it platinum blonde. He would wear his hair back in gold bobby pins and wear flashy but elegant robes to the ring.

He called himself the "Human Orchid." His them music was "Pomp and Circumstance." Which 40 years later Randy "Macho Man" Savage would adopt it as his theme music.

Instead of having female valets, he had male valets! They were Geoffrey and Thomas Ross. They would come to the ring with him and spray perfume in his corner of the ring as well as on his opponents.

His ring entrance would sometimes last as long as the match. After he finished all his showboating. Make no mistake George was every bit the villain! He would cheat every chance he got. It would infuriate the fans!

Nevertheless he was a huge draw. Fans would line up just to see what he was going to do next. When TV came along millions would tune in. Some just to see him. With George Professional Wrestling would become TV's first hit!

George was always a showman first and foremost. But he did become an accomplished wrestler.

On May 26.1950 he won the AWA Heavyweight Title. But would later lose his title to Lou Thesz. Almost ten years after losing his title he would retire!

Sadly Gorgeous George died in 1963. But George's memory will carry on for many years to come! Continuing to inspire future generations!

"The Living Legand" Bruno Sammartino

Bruno was born in Abruzzi, Italy on October 6,1936. He immigrated to the US when he was 15.

Bruno started wrestling in 1959. He won his first title on May 17, 1963. He defeated "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers in record time and won the World Wide Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship.

Bruno was extremely popular after only 4 years in the business. He went on to help establish the WWWF. Giving Vince McMahon Sr. more credibility. Bruno would become Heavyweight Champion and hold on to title for an amazing reign of 7 years.

Bruno's fan base was like no other when he was in his prime. The only one that came close was Hulk Hogan. But Bruno still holds the title for the number of times he sold out Madison Square Garden.

After taking on all the number one contenders for 7 years Bruno's title reign would end on January 17,1971. "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff would be the one to do it. Ivan's manager at the time was Captain Lou Albano and Lou was making a point of sending his best men after Bruno to end his title reign. Ivan got the pin fall after he used his finisher move off the top rope, Russian Knee Drop. 22,000 people in Madison Square Garden would stare in total shock and disbelief.

After this happened Bruno took a short leave from WWWF. He went to WWA. While he was there him and his tag team partner Dick "The Bruiser" won the Tag Team Titles. Unfortunately they would only hold the titles for about 6 months. They would lose there title to The Valiant Brothers.

Bruno would than again return to the WWWF. When he got the chance to win the title from Pedro Morales. Bruno put his all into the match but was unable to get the pin fall. The match lasted for over an hour and ended in a draw.

Morales lost his title to Stan Stasiak on December 1,1973. But unfortunately for Stan he would not hold the title for long. On December 10,1973 he would lose the title to Bruno.

Bruno's second title reign would last for 4 years! He would go on to state that his second title reign was tougher than the first because the competition was greater.

Make no mistake Bruno was a fighting champion. He would defend his title 5 to 6 nights a week. On April 26,1976 in a match with Stan "The Lariat" Hanson. Bruno would get his neck broken in a blotched body slam.

After Bruno spent time away from the ring recovering from his injury. Bruno would have a rematch with Hanson. In this rematch Bruno would beat Hanson so bloody and so brutally. That Hanson would run scared from the ring and not only lost the match but was disgraced as well.

As fate would have it Bruno would lose his title for the second time in the Spring of 77. To the flamboyant "Superstar" Billy Graham. Graham cheated by using the ropes to make the pin fall. This is the last time Bruno would hold the title.

In 1980 Bruno's protégé Larry Zbysko would turn on his mentor in what was supposed to be a friendly TV demonstration. This match would last for months. It was finally ended in a steel cage match when Bruno beat Larry at Shea Stadium.

Bruno went on to have some violent feuds with Roddy Piper, Adrian Adonis, and Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Bruno would beat them all. But after 20 years with the WWF Bruno left them for good.

He would dabble a little with UWF and WCW after his retirement. But he would get bitter and never have anything to do with the sport that he worked so hard to make respectable.

To this day Bruno is the only person to hold the WWF Championship for a total of 11 years in 2 reigns. He is also the first ever 2 time champion and he still holds incredible attendance records. Because of these accomplishments Bruno Sammartino will all ways be the Living Legend!!

Abdullah The Butcher

There are many words that can be used to describe Abdullah the Butcher. Some of these words are insane, sadistic, bloodthirsty, and psychotic. He is a true wrestling legend and will be remembered for years to come!

Abdullah was born November 2, 1936. His birth name is Lawrence Shreeve. He was not born in Khartoum, Sadan like was once believed but in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Abdullah’s career in wrestling started in 1958. He started out wrestling in several independent promotions across Canada. His gimmick was an evil Arabian from the sandy barrens of the Sadan.

It didn’t take long for him to become on of the most hated villains in wrestling history. He has wrestled all over the world. In the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. He was a huge draw for promoters in Japan (were he wrestled as Kuroi Jujutsushi, Black Wizard), Puerto Rico, Australia\ New Zealand, Europe, and his home country Canada (unknown to his fans at the time).

He was sometimes brought in to take care of the baby face wrestlers. Like a “hit man.”

Abdullah’s style was never what you would call “technical” wrestler. He is more of the bloody, violent, brute force style.

Abdullah style is hardcore! He had a total disregard for his safety or his opponents. That will carry on in many of our more brutal matches. Such as barbed wire matches and steel cage matches. Abdullah has influenced many wrestlers and will continue to influence them for many years to come.

His matches were almost always bloody and gruesome. Even more so when he wrestled people that are as deranged as he is. Wrestlers like Cactus Jack, Harley Race, and the Funks.

Abdullah never stayed in any territory for any length of time. So his gimmick wouldn’t get stale. Despite this he still won an impressive number of titles.

Despite having passed 60 years old. Abdullah still wrestles but not like he did in his prime. He only does select appearances mainly for NWA. He also owns and operates Abdullah the Butcher House of Ribs and Chinese Food in Atlanta, Georgia.

My Thoughts

I wanted to try something a little different with today's post. Instead of the usual article on a wrestler or an interview, I'm going to post my thoughts on September 8, 2004 NWA-TNA's Pay Per View tag team title match.

Wednesday night was TNA'S last weekly Pay Per View. There was supposed to be a triple threat match between The Naturals, XXX and America's Most Wanted (AMW). But because XXX's Christopher Daniels and AMW's "Cowboy" James Storm were injured and they were unable to wrestle.

It seemed that the Naturals would win the match by default but "Wildcat" Chris Harris and "Primetime" Elix Skipper decided to put there differences a side to seek revenge on the Naturals.

Wildcat and Primetime have competed against each other on several occasions so they were able to work well together. The match started with the Naturals having the upper hand. They worked on Primetime and kept him from making the tag for sometime.

But once he was able to tag Wildcat, he turned the tables on the Naturals. Wildcat took a chair shot to the head from Chase Stevens. Primetime came in and took care of Chase. From there Wildcat was able to spear Andy Douglas before he could throw powder in his face for the win.

So this leaves us all with questions on how is this going to work when the tag team champions are from 2 different tag teams?

Well I have a couple of theories!

They're going to break up XXX and AMW! Which I think would be a bad move since both tag teams are huge fan favorites. I really don't think they're going that way with this one.

An other idea is that XXX and AMW are going to have a title match and the winner gets the titles! This would probably be the best scenario.

My final thought on what they may do is have an 8-man tag team match. XXX and AMW vs. The Naturals and Team Canada! Since there is a huge feud brewing between them. But I don't think this is how they will sort out the tag team titles. I think this would be the type of match they would have on Victory Road in November.

What ever TNA decides to do I wish XXX and AMW the best of luck with it. I also want to Congratulate Wildcat and Primetime on their title win!

"The First Lady Of Wrestling" Miss Elizabeth

Miss Elizabeth's real name is Elizabeth Ann Hewlette. She was born in Kentucky. Her date of birth was November 19,1960.

She married "Macho Man" Randy Savage in December 1984. Soon after she made her professional wrestling debut as Randy's manager/valet.

Miss Elizabeth was Hulk Hogan's manager as well for a brief time, when Hogan and Savage were a team. She left Randy when he became "Macho King."

She came back to wrestling in 1991 at Summer Slam. Where Randy and her were "married." It was more like a renewal of vowels for them since they were already married.

In 1992 they got divorced and she left wrestling again.

She came back to professional wrestling in 1996 at Randy's side on WCW. But soon after she left him to join Debra and Woman to manage the 4 horsemen.

But the NWO bought her contract and she went with them. Randy started the NWO Wolfpack. Miss Elizabeth decided to stay with the NWO and Hollywood Hogan.

She mainly stayed with Eric Bischoff. Bad mouthing Randy, until 1999 when she again disappeared from wrestling.

When she reappeared again she was at Lex Lugers side. Soon he was abusing her and making her wrestle in matches.

In April 2000 Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff came back to WCW. Starting the New Blood, to take on the older wrestlers.

Vince Russo had Miss Elizabeth kidnapped from Lex since he owned her contract. In an attempt to brake her spirit he forced her to wrestle in matches.

Lex would come to her rescue often. In May 2000 Lex and Miss Elizabeth were suspended by WCW management because of behind the scenes problems.

She started dating Lex in 2003. There had been several reports of alleged abuse. May 1,2003 Lex called 911 in a panic, but it was to late to save Miss Elizabeth. She died at the age of 42.

In my opinion the death of Miss Elizabeth was a great lost to professional wrestling!

Captain Lou Albano

For close to forty years Captain Lou Albano was involved in professional wrestling. In one way or another. Lou had made quite an impact on professional wrestling.

In the late fifties he wrestled as part of the tag team Scicilians. His tag team partner was Tim Altmore. There ring attire was what would be considered stereotypical Italian Gangster wear.

Despite the fact that there abilities were limited they managed to win a few titles. Such as the Mid West Tag Team title and the United States Tag Team Titles.

But Lou didn't really bloom into a huge star until he after he ended his partnership with Tim Altmore. To become a manager. Once he became a manager he changed his look to a more outrageous, flamboyant look. He wore rubber bands in his beard and wore Hawaiian style shirts.

He managed some of the meanest singles wrestlers of the time. Such as Fred Blassie, Toru Tanaka, and Ivan Koloff. He was managing them all to go after WWF Heavyweight Champion Bruno Sammartino for the title.

To which one of them did beat him and take is title that he had held for 7 years. The man that did it was the "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff.

Lou was much better guiding his tag teams to the gold than he was with his singles. He was able to guide 15 different tag teams to win the gold. Examples of his amazing tag teams are Wild Samoans, The Valiant Brothers, Saito & Fuji, and The British Bulldogs.

Lou had also brought the world of MTV in to wrestling that would be come known as the Rock'n Wrestling connection. Such has having Cyndi Lauper come to the ring with him. Some say that he is also part of the reason that Wrestlemania was such a huge success.

Even today Captain Lou Albano is one of the most recognized wrestling personalities in the history of wrestling. In 1996 the World Wrestling Federation inducted him into there hall of fame. No wrestling hall of fame would be complete without Captain Lou Albano!

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy is considered an enigma in professional wrestling today. He is one of the newest signed wrestlers to NWA-TNA.

His full name is Jeff Nero Hardy. Jeff was born in August 31,1977. He was raised in Cameron, North Carolina.

Jeff and his brother Matt started wrestling when Jeff was in his early twenties. They wrestled on the independent wrestling circuit. They made ring attire for the other wrestler to earn the money to pay for there training.

In 1998 they were offered a full-time wrestling contract with WWE. They accepted the contract. The duos first gimmick was brightly colored outfits that didn’t go over real well with the fans. So they redesigned there ring attire to a darker, more noticeable look. They also joined Gangral’s New Brood.

Which got them involved in an on going feud between Gangral and Edge with Christian. In mid 1999 the Hardyz and Edge with Christian were on No Mercy pay per view in a ladder match. The Hardyz won the match and left Gangral behind.

Soon after Lita made her first WWF debut, as manager for Essa Rios. But after she cost him several matches. Essa turned on her and the Hardyz came to her rescue. After that Lita became their manager.

They were a strong trio. Lita was working on defining her wrestling skills the whole way. But there team wouldn’t last. They have now went there separate ways. Jeff is now with NWA-TNA, Matt is still with WWE, and Lita is still with WWF but is by Kane’s side.

Since Jeff’s arrival at TNA he has been quickly rising to the top. He is well on his way to being one of there top superstars. When he comes out to the ring there is such a presence about him, it makes you stop and take notice.

Weather you love him or you hate him, you can’t help but be in awe over his ring abilities. He does some of the most impressive aerial moves there are. Weather it’s his finishing move the “Swanton Bomb” or one of his other many dangerous moves, it’s impressive to watch.

He takes many risks with some of the more dangerous moves he does. Luckily He has only sustained minor injuries. They were a dislocated shoulder, concussion, and several stitches. He has been very luck. All it takes is him to land wrong to cause lasting damage.

Jeff has held several titles and some tag team titles with Matt. They are WWE Hardcore Championship, WWF Hardcore Championship (2x), WWE European Championship, WWF Heavyweight Championship, WWF Tag Team Championship (5x), WCW Tag Team Champion, and WWF Intercontinental Championship.

On September 8,2004 he will meet Jeff Jarrett on the TNA Pay Per View. For the chance to win the NWA Heavyweight Championship.
